July 8, 2023, Skagit Chapter Prize Ride 

Celebrate the reopening of the Les Hilde Trailhead (Harry Osborne State Forest) at our BCHW Skagit Chapter Ride on Saturday, July 8th!  Please share with your family, friends and fellow riders!  Let's show DNR and our local elected officials that equestrians use this trailhead and love it!  We will kick off the event with a 2 hour long flagged ride with the opportunity to win a fantastic prize by completing games of skill! Follow it up with a delicious hot lunch.  No overnight camping, so please arrive for the day-use only.  Proceeds benefit the Back Country Horsemen of Washington Skagit Chapter for trail maintenance.

Ride for the day only, no camping. Water accessible at a stream below the trailhead.

July 14 - 16, 2023, 7th Annual Vicki Gish Memorial Ride 

This event remembers a lady who was instrumental in developing trails and helping to maintain trails in Washington and Idaho.  She loved the outdoors and could often be found in the wilderness enjoying the beauty of her surroundings.  She also helped by using her mules to pack in equipment for several projects throughout the many years of her life.  Sadly, we lost this wonderful lady 7 years ago.  

This is a 3-day event, but you can come for 1 or all 3.  Enjoy comradery and friendship while riding at your own pace on well-marked trails in the Colville National Forest. Enjoy a wonderful potluck and campfire on Saturday.
