2022 Regional Work Parties:
LeBar Horse Camp & Lower S. Fork Skokomish River Trail Friday, May 20th - Sunday, May 22nd, 2022
Pre-Registration Required no later than April 30th
Winter storm damage is extensive – there is a lot of work to do! We need
volunteers for camp and trail work.
Tasks include brushing/swamping (a lot of swamping!)
Blowdown removal (sawyers needed!)
As well as cleanup of campsites. We will also be removing the rotten roof on the vault toilet and (hopefully) installing the new roof.
Something for everyone! Bring gloves, appropriate attire.
Tools, PPE’s provided (Sawyers need to bring their own
saw/PPE)

Kalama Regional Work Party June 22-27th Click here for printable Flyer
Mt. St. Helen's chapter of BCHW is hosting a regional work party at Kalama Horse camp in SW Washington near Cougar WA.
Camp sites are available June 22-27th and the work party will be from the 23-26th.

some much needed trail tread and logout.

Juniper Dunes Recreation Area is North of Pasco

Directions:
“From the shell gas station - Kahlotus Corners – off I-182, head out the Kahlotus-Pasco highway north approximately 7 miles. Turn left onto Juniper Dunes Road. Continue along Juniper Dunes Road for about 4 miles until the pavement ends at the top of the hill. We will be parked over the dirt/sand hump slightly to the left in front of you. There will be signs for parking.
In the saddle at 11am. Ride will be 6 to 7 miles and about 2-1/2 to 3 hours.
No porta-potties available.”

May 1, 2022, Richland Horse Park Work Party by Purple Sage Riders
Hosts: Bill and Mary Bennett 479-886-3950
Purple Sage Riders have collaborated with the City of Richland in the past two years to both clean up and maintain a block of land within the western city limits for the past two years to make available to riders that used to use the land. This includes monies donated by the city to assist in new parking areas, cleared trails, installed temporary horse corrals and add obstacle courses. Our chapter will continue to maintain the plant life and clean up as necessary for the future.
May 7, 2022, Skagit BCHW Tack Sale
Location: Sedro- Wooley Rodeo Club House, 24538 Polte Road, Sedro-Wooley, WA
When: Saturday May 7th 10:00am - 3:00pm
Many items available, English, Western, saddles, bridles, blankets, clothing, boots and stable supplies!
Proceeds go towards improving the trails at the Les Hilde Trailhead/Harry Osborne State Forest.

June 24 - 26, 2022, Northeast Chapter 6th Annual Vicki Gish Memorial Ride
Three fun days of camping, riding and camaraderie. Come one or all three days. This is to honor Vicki Gish and how instrumental she was in developing the trails in the Calispel Basin. Trails will be marked so you can go on your own or go with a group. Potluck on Saturday night which always proves to be amazing. Camping is free, stock water available and there will be porta-potties. If you have questions, please call Marian Carson at (509) 999-1547 or email her BEFORE that week as she'll be up there marking trails for all to enjoy. It's a GREAT time!! July 16, 2022 Skagit BCHW Chapter Prize Ride
Join us at the Les Hilde Trailhead, Harry Osborne State Forest for a flagged ride with games of skill and prizes. We are also hosting our chapter campout during the weekend. High line poles are available, with water accessible at a stream below the trailhead. We look forward to seeing you!!

Ride on a scenic 3 hour loop for no more than 100 riders. $300 Visa Gift Card prize.
Camping is available on a limited basis, registered first served. Camp Friday night for $20 which includes 2 corrals; Camp Saturday night for $30 which includes 2 corrals and dinner for 2. Extra corrals if available are $5.00
Proceeds to benefit Trail work and education.

March 3 - 6. 2022, Washington State Horse Expo
Our BCHW/LNT booth is an educational type of booth. We set up a camp with two tents and a stall for a horse/mule to be there. We do packing demos all day on a steel mule. This year we will also do a live animal packing demo in an arena for the attendees. There are many vendors from arts and crafts, feed manufactures, tack and much more. There are food vendors and a beer garden. There are competitions and training classes from known trainers. Go to www.washingtonstatehorseexpo.com for more information.
