In addition to winners in each category, there will also be voting by the audience for the

People Choice Award

Rules:

You must be a current 2010 BCHW member to enter. If you’re not a member yet, please join today; contact your chapter for an application. Or you can now join on-line! Or download an application, see www.bchw.org for both options. Applications will also be available at the Photo Contest site.

 

You do NOT have to be in attendance to enter. You may send photos with members who are attending but they must be at the Contest booth by Saturday, March 20th , no later than 10 am.  Organizers will be on site by Friday afternoon and will start accepting submission from then on. Or you may also mail them to:

Sally Laib P.O. Box 39, Kapowsin, WA 98344.  All mailed submissions must be RECEIVED and ready for display by March 13th, 2010.

 

Photograph specifications:

You may enter as many photos as you wish.

 

They may be color or black & white; horizontal or vertical

 

Photos must be between the sizes of 5x7 and 16x20 inches.

 

Each photo must be mounted on a plain rigid matte board no larger then 16x20. A second matte surrounding the print is acceptable.

 

No entries mounted on wood, covered with glass, plastic or framed will be accepted.

On the back of each entry include your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, category you are entering, and a detailed caption telling us the specific location depicted in the photo. (i.e.: Killen Creek Trail #113, Mt. Adams Wilderness, Gifford Pinchot National Forest).

 

No description or names may be on the front of the mounting or photo for purposes of judging and presentation. 

 

Photos can be returned to but only by 1.) picking up after the contest, 2.) by including a self-addressed, stamped envelope for the correct size & postage amount with entry or 3.) by having your chapter Director pick it up for you at the June Board of Directors meeting.

 

If you wish for you photos to be submitted for the calendar, please let us know & we will give them to Vicky. Or better yet, include a non-returnable disc for better resolution.
