Everyone is Welcome

Your Personal Invitation

It is that time of the year that you should be making your plan to spend the weekend of May 20, 21, and 22 in Yakima participating in the
yearly "gathering" of members, families, friends and any one who is interested in what BCHW means and the activities they work and play at. The Rendezvous Steering Committee has an event filled weekend planned for those who plan on attending.

Starting with Opening Ceremonies Friday afternoon right up to closing with the awarding of the custom made Tornow pack saddle this is an event you don't want to miss out on.  New this year is the addition of the Farriers Association of Washington (FAWS) running the Eagle Eye shoeing competition and their demonstration "Shoeing Demonstration: The Science behind the Art", lunch time speaker  Adrianne Peterson speaking on the timely subject of Weed Free Feed, the JR BCHW will be taking a more active part in the running of the games, and the Friday Night Open Mic is sure to please all who want to listen to readings, poetry and music. Back this year is the hands on Mini Packing Clinic, the wide variety of vendors, our clinicians: Don West, Steve Rother and Bill Holmes.  George Mattson has again donated a mule for the auction and starting Friday afternoon you will be able to find clinician Bill Holmes working with "Rowdy the Rondy mule".  Heaverlo Auctions will again be hosting the Auction Saturday night and Standing Room Only will entertain us with music for dancing and listening.

Dinner and Sunday Breakfast this year will be provided by Valdos Catering.  The dinner Entrées will be BBQ Beef Brisket and BBQ Pulled Pork cooked approximately 20 hours and served directly from the smoker.  Served with the entrées will be Valdos homemade baked beans, smoked tomato wrapped in bacon, potato salad, coleslaw, rolls and a variety of desserts.  Breakfast will be Scrambled eggs, sausage patty,  bacon, pancake with butter and syrup, hashbrowns, coffee and juice.  Tickets are on a first come basis and are available with preregistration, and at registration.

Raffle tickets will be available during Rendezvous at Registration and the Rondy tent.  Thus far we have again had a wonderful donation from Les Schwab Tires.  This is one of the many ways our vendors and supporters help BCHW to achieve our mission.  Please help us to support
them.

Door prize tickets will be given to all who have paid their registration fee of  $3.00 per individual or $5.00 family.  Registration is
not only a way for you to win some useful prizes, obtain free samples, and help put Convention/Rendezvous together, it is going to help the
committee make the decision on future events.  We will again be distributing the tote bag with your registration.  It will include a
program listing details on the speakers and clinicians, raffle tickets, door prize tickets, bottled water and.....

Surely the weekend will have something for everybody so make your plans and see you in Yakima.
